About Ali
Alexandra (or Ali) Shewan (she/they) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a virtual counselling and consulting business, Selkie Counselling, based out of Victoria, BC on unceded lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ territories. She is passionate about building community for fat people and addressing anti-fat bias and healthism in the field of mental health. She supports clients in uprooting internalized oppression, addressing their privileges and biases, and connecting more to their bodies in a compassionate way.
